The PAL01 is a dual-purpose panel meaning it is suitable for wall and ceiling applications.
This panel is constructed from 0.9mm zintec steel with a metal-faced panel. This comes as standard with a Budget Locking system, other lock options are available. This Panel is 2-hour fire rated and has been tested in accordance with BSEN 1634-1: 2008 and BSEN 1363- 1 1999. It is also acoustic up to 30dB.
The beaded frame allows for a wet finish (plaster) to be applied for a discrete finish.

To remove the door from the frame; open the door and release the hinge bolts slightly and lift the door out.
Place the frame into the aperture ensuring the aperture is 7mm larger than the panel size. Mark the position of the hinge pins located towards the hinge side.
Remove the frame and drill clearance holes for the hinge pins as previously marked.
Fix the frame into the aperture by bending back the fixing tabs and using all the fixing holes to secure in place. Ensure frame is square by measuring diagonally and flush to the wall/ceiling. If fire, acoustic or airtight apply intumescent acrylic mastic on the rear of the frame prior to installing the frame.
Refit the door by tightening the hinge pins back in place then close the door. Lock the door in place with key provided and ensure the door is flush when closed.
For a beaded framed panel, apply skrim tape prior to plastering. If fire, acoustic or airtight, apply intumescent acrylic mastic to the rear of the frame, nominally 5mm wide sealing to the supporting construction.
