The PAL08 is an Access Panel that is suitable for installation in walls only.
This panel is constructed from zintec steel, with a 1.5mm thick door and frame and with a 3-way lock as standard but other locks are available. The tile panel face allows for ceramic tiles to be applied.
This panel is certified to BS 476 : Part 22 : 1987 for a 2 hour integrity fire rating.
The beaded frame allows a wet finish to be applied (plaster), allowing for a completely concealed installation. The only thing visible will be the lock cap.

To remove the door; open the door, loosen the bolts from the pin hinge system and slide into the door then lift the door out.
Place the frame into the aperture ensuring the aperture is 7mm larger than the back of frame size. Mark the position of the hinge holes and if 3 point locking the locking bar slots as well.
Remove the frame and drill clearance holes for hinge holes and if 3 point locking the locking bar slots as well as previously marked.
Fix the frame into the aperture using all the fixing holes to secure in place. Ensure frame is square by measuring diagonally and flush to the wall. If fire, acoustic or airtight rated apply intumescent acrylic master on the rear of the frame jamb prior to installing the frame.
Refit the door securing the sliding pin hinges back in place ensuring the pins are fully inserted through the frame. Lock the door in place with key provided and ensure the door is flush when closed.
Apply tiles to the surface of the frame and door. Ensure the tiles do not overhang the frame or door as this will cause damage to the tiles. If fire, acoustic or airtight rated apply intumescent acrylic mastic to the rear of the frame, nominally 5mm wide sealing to the supporting construction.
