The PAL53 is a Riser Door that is suitable for installation in walls only.

This panel is constructed from 0.9mm zintec steel with a 3-way lock as standard but other locks are available. Although described as a riser door, this is a non-fire rated option.

The beaded frame allows a wet finish to be applied (plaster), allowing for a completely concealed installation, the only thing visible will be the lock cap.

How to Fit

STEP 1

To remove the door; Open the door, pull the spring hinge handle into the hinge stop then lift the door out.

STEP 2

Place the frame into the aperture ensuring the aperture is 7mm larger than the panel size. Mark the position of the hinge pivot holes and if 3 point locking the locking bar slots as well.

STEP 3

Remove the frame & drill clearance holes for hinge holes and if 3 point locking the locking bar slots as well as previously marked.

STEP 4

Fix the frame into the aperture using all the fixing holes to secure in place. Ensure frame is square by measuring diagonally & flush to the wall. If fire, acoustic or airtight rated apply Intumescent acrylic mastic on the rear of the frame jamb prior to installing the frame.

STEP 5

Refit the door securing the spring pin hinges back in place ensuring the pins are fully inserted through the frame. Lock the door in place with key provided & ensure the door is flush when closed.

STEP 6

Apply skrim tape to the beaded frame & door prior to plastering. If fire, acoustic or airtight rated apply Intumescent acrylic mastic to the rear of the frame, nominally 5mm wide sealing to the supporting construction.
